THE NEW ZEALAND COMMISSION. SYDNEY, March 20. Tho New Zealand Federation Commissioners wore entertained last night at a private dinner. Mr Barton, the Federal Premier, was present, and welcomed them. (Received March 21, 0.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 20. The New Zealand Federation Commission has decided to take evidence in camera, PARLIAMENTARY NOMINATIONS. (Received March 21, 0.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 20. Nominations for the Federal Assembly were received today. Mr Barton was tho only candidate nominated, and ho was accordingly returned unopposed. THE COMMONWEALTH CONTINGENT. ONE HUNDRED MEN TO BE SENT. A COMPOSITE COMPANY. The Government has decided to send one hundred men to represent the military of New Zealand at the opening of tho Commonwealth Parliament at Melbourne. The company will be thoroughly representative, and will he composed as follows; Twenty Permanent Artillery. Twenty Mounted: Men. Twenty Infantrymen. Twenty Navals. Twenty Maoris. The men to compose tho Contingent will be selected from all parts of the colony by the Commandant of tho Forces.
