, THORNDON CLUB. The members of tbe Thomdon. Club were engaged yesterday in a game of ‘'Progressive Bowls," whicb was the, first played on the green, and created much interest, and keen. play. The Vinners at the close of the day s play were Gould, Collins and Ross (skip). Five games were played, the results being as follows:
First round—Barry, and Hogben beat Olarke and Webb, 10—2; Plimmer and Kilgour beat Dawes and Gibbes, 13—4: Gould and Collins beat McManaway and Macintosh. 20—8; Douglas and Flanagan beat Andrews and Longtou, 11—8: King, Heywood and McKerrow beat Gamble, Mcßldowney and Jameson, 22—2. Second round —Kilgour and Plimmer beat Rose and Hogben, 19—4:. Dawes and Gibbes beat Collins and Gould, 11—5;; Douglas and Flanagan beat McManaway and Macintosh, 15—4; Andrews, Mc-El-downie and Longton beat King, Heywood and McKerrow, 15 —9; Clarke and Webb beat Gamble and Jameson, 16—G. Third round—Murdoch. Plimmer and Kilgour beat Dawes, Seaton and Gibbes. 12—11; Gould, Collins and Ross beat Hume, Douglas and Flanagan, 11—4; MoManawav. Burns and Macintosh beat Andrews, Elliot end Longtou, 13—6; King, Heywood and McKerrow beat Archibald. Clarke and Webb, 7—6; Quick, Barry and Hogben beat Gamble, Jameson and Sievwright, 9—B. Fourth round (rinks same as in third) — Gibbes beat Eievwright,2o—2; Longton beat McKerrow, 10—6; Webb beat Hogben, 10—5; Flanagan beat Macintosh; 20—3: Ross beat Kilgour, 12—6.
Fifth round (rinks same as in fourth)— Ross beat Llanagan, 12—8; Mclntosh beat Longton, 11—4; McKerrow beat Webb, 13—5; Hogben and Gibbes a draw: Sievwright beat Kilgour, 16—2.
The final result was—Gould, Collins'and Ross (skip), 4 wins; Flanagan. Kilgour and McKerrow, 3 wins; Hogbon, Webb, Gibbes, Macintosh and Longton, 2 wins; Sievwright, 1 win; Hogben and Gibbesa draw each.
