FOREIGN COMPETITION WITH ENGLAND.
(Received March 14, 10.47 p.m.) LONDON, March 14. Lord Salisbury, in the course, of an address at the Associated Chambers of Commerce banquet, said ho considered the dangers of foreign competition hypothetical. The Right Hen Gerald W. Balfour (President of the Board of Trade) was less optimistic. He expressed wonder at the advance and commercial activity of Germany and America.
