THIS Company is being formed for tbo purpose (inter alia) of acquiring- from the Vendors the sponge-fishing.-rights in marine areas, situate at tlio Chatham Islands, containing about 8070 acres, and known as TupuahgU and To Bald, the same being comprised in Government Leases Nos. 1 and 2, having an area of 5900 acres anti 2176 acres respectively, ho the same a little more or less. The Vendors have expended a considerable amount in prospecting the fields, and their representative was successful in locating valuable fields, and also in securing many specimens of a thoroughly marketable sponge. (Vide reports of Sir Janies Hector and Mr A. Durraud, which are embodied in the prospectus.) The Company will be registered when 2500 shares are applied-for.
