POLO
A match cl special interest to those interested in polo, and to the public generally, will be played at Miramar on Friday afternoon, commencing at three o’clock. The match is the final match between tha Victorian team and a team selected from all New Zealand. Although the New Zealanddrs were defeated at Palmerston North by the Victorians, it is expected that the opportunity since afforded the former of practising together will have so improved their play that the match is likely to relsult in a very close and exciting contest. The players to represent New Zealand are Strang (3) and O. Robinson. Arrangements have been made v.lih the Ferry Company to run a special trip, the Duchess leaving the ferry wharf at 2.15 and returning after the match. The wharf at Evans Bay is situated within a few minutes’ walk of the ground. The public can therefore attend the match with little expense. A grand stand has been erected, and afternoon tea will be provided.
