The directors of tho Mapourika River Gold Dredging Company, Limited, have concluded the purchase of the Imperial Company’s dredge. Additions to length of ladder and extra steam power is to be added. We are informed that Messrs Crabtree and Son, who will have the work, expect to have tho dredge working upon the Mapourika Company's claim within throe months. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS. During February the New Zealand Crown mine treated 2804 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £4502. During ton days ending March 2nd the Waitlaia Goldniining Company treated 106 toijs of ore for bullion sold for £591. HOKITIKA. March 12. Rain is badly wanted for mining operations.
