ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PBESS ASSOCIATION. - CHRISTCHURCH, March 9.' A man named William Lawson died in the hospital to-day, it is said from injuries inflicted by another man, but the statement is not believed. A man named Henry Bottom, who was admitted to the Wellington Hospital on Saturday suffering from severe scalds caused by falling in a hath of hot water, died at that institution, about 5 o’clock last evening. Deceased was an inmate of the Salvation Army, Home in Buckle street. On Saturday he was proceeding to have a hot bath, when he took an apoplectic fit, and fell into the .water. One of the other boarders, who heard the splash, immediately went to his assisr tance. The deceased was badly scalded when got out. Dr Scott was»called in, and the unfortunate man was subsequently removed to the, Hospital. , ,
