MILITARY DESERTERS
(Received Alarch 11, 0.29 a.m.) ADELAIDE, March 10. Three Imperial soldiers were charged at the Police Court with absenting themselves from their regiments without leave. The police, who prosecuted on behalf of Colonel Wyndham, asked for a remand pending instructions from the Imperial authorities. The sole defence was a claim that the prisoners coiijd only be dealt with hy a court-martial. The Alagistrates upheld the defence, and’ discharged them.
