PERSONAL.
The Hon J. G. Ward returned to Wellington on Saturday night. Mr G. Frost, Mayor of Melrose, has decided to seek re-election to that office.
Mr and Mrs J. Lachraann left by the Mokoia for Sydney on Saturday night, on a holiday trip.
After a long, weary illness, borne with fortitude and cheerfulness. Miss Margaret Smith, daughter of Councillor John Smith, junr., of uus city, died on Saturday morning, at the age of 2o years. The many friends of tne family will deeply commiserate with them in their bereavement.
