Uii the 13!h inst. at 1.30 p.m. Messrs Harcpurt and Co. will sell at ‘‘Tipuna,” Grant road, tho late residence of Mr C. J, Pharazyn, the residue of his superior household furniture, including a Collard and Collard concert grand piano. Catalogues are now ready and can be obtained on application. On 22nd inst. they will offer at auction the desirable 7-roomed residence No. 55, Tinakori road, having a frontage of 51ft 3in by a depth of 100 ft. The house is at present occupied by Mrs Mawthorn, at a rental of .165 and is in excellent repair.

Messrs Turnbull, Watkins 1 and Williams will sell by public auction on the premises, Waripori street, on Monday next, the whole of the furniture and effects contained in the six-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr Drake. The auction will begin at T. 30 p.m. Pull particulars are advertised in another column. The excursion steamer Duchess will run to Day’s Bay to-day and to-morrow, mornings and afternoons. The stock consists of 49 dairy cows and a half-breclHol-bteui bull, and tho utensils include 16 t\airy cans, nearly new. On the 26th inst. the Laud Board will offer for sale at tho Courthouse, Palmerston North, 1,863,000 superficial feet of totara, matai aud rimu on section 48„ block 7, Pohaugiua. Messrs Thompson Bros, and Co. will sell at the Harris street auction mart on. tho 25th inst. the lease of bookstall on the Queen’s Wharf. At the auction mart, Willis street, at 2 p.m. to-day, Mr W. F. Shortt will sell, by instructions from the Public Trustee, watches, • jewellery, etc., in a number of intestate estates.

Messrs Haigh and Morrah will sell at the Horse Bazaar, Harris street, at 2 p.m. to-day. a. number of horses of all descriptions, harness, etc.

Messrs Thcs. Turnbull and Son. invite tenders until Thursday lor a four-floor brick building on. Lambton quay. Messrs Sargood, Son and Ewen invite tenders for experienced hands in all branches of the felt hat industry. A corner section in Newtown is to let on building lease.

Messrs E. E. Jackson and Co. will hold their usual stock sale at Johnsonville on Tuesday. A half-yearly dividend of £2 per share in the Bank of Australasia will be payable on the 29th inst.

Messrs Wilkins and Field are holding a clearing sale of ironmongery, electroplate, guns, bicycles .furniture, etc. Messrs Turnbull, Watkins and Williams advertise that they are instructed to sell at public aution on the 26th inst., three very valuable properties ip. the city, as follows:—Dixon street, near Herbert street, a block of land having two frontages, and three very substantial dwellings returning good rentals; Drummond street, comer near Tram \ Sheds, large section, with an up-to-date residence of six rooms, bnilt about two years, under Messrs Farr and Coleridge, architects, for the special use of the owner, who has now for private reasons decided to sell at a sacrifice. Waripori street has a. section behind the Church schoolroom, with a really firstclass villa of six rooms, which must also go on account of the early departure of-the owner from, Wellington. The prizes won!at the grocers’ picnicwill be distributed at a meeting to be held at Eiohards’s rooms, on Monday evening. Messrs Abraham and Williams have purchased from Messrs Haigh and Morrah, as from April Ist, the Otaki and Manakau saleyards, and will hold regular stock sales at both places, commencing on tho 16th inst. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company will sell stock at Palmerston North on Thursday. A sale of unclaimed dogs will be held at the Destructor this afternoon.
