RIFLE SHOOTING.
The Petone Rifle Club fired on Saturday for tlie bronze medal aggregate; also for the club’s aggregate and trophies. A Ballinger received a leg-in for first place and \V. .1. Webster for .second. The ranges were 500, 600 and 700 yards, seven shots at each. A. Ballinger made the possible at 500yds. following his 600yds shooi noth another five bull’s-eyes, making 1J consecutive hulls and finishing with two inners. C. Hollard was but one point behind. These two had a bad time at 700yds, the light failing. Following are the scores:
