AQUATICS.
Another heat of tho Senior Sculls of the Star Boating Club was rowed last evening over the southerly course, when W. E. Bendall defeated A. Fell by half a length. In tho final heat of the Junior Sculls of tho clnb, which were afterwards rowed, A. Bayfield defeated C. E. Dowland by several lengths. The winner cf this race holds the handsome challenge trophy, presented by Mr Seymer Tancred, for one year. Bayfield, formerly a member of the Kawatiri Club, Westport, has been very successful this season in tho Star Chub’s contests. Mr C. W. S. Cox started the races last evening, and Air G. ,H- Bethune, captain of the club, acted as judge. The next contests for members of the Star Olub will be the Senior and Junior Fours, the first heats of which will be rowed next Saturday.
