Mr Chisholm, watchmaker, Cuba street, wishes it known that his shop will be finally closed at 10 o’clock to-night and those having repairs left with him had better call before then. Also all accounts are requested to he paid. Mr Frank Smith (late of the Commercial Hotel) announces in another column that he has entered into possession of the Park Hotel, Newtown, which is well equipped and conducted in the best style. Messrs A. E. Mcech and Co. will sell at their roms at 2 p.m. to-day a quantity of furniture, dairymen's requisites, etc. Mrs M. A. Mackenzie (chemist b'v examine (inn) is removing to new premises in SenrFs Buildings. At the ram fair to be held at Christchurch on .March 11th the New Zealand Lean and Mercantile Agency Co. will offer "or sale, on behalf of .Messrs Bealey Bros., of Hororata, four two-tooth Romney Marsh stud rams.

Tho usual stock sale of Messrs F. E. Jackson and Co. will bo held at Johnsonville to-dav. Messrs Williams and Kettle will hold an important sale of cattle and sheep at the, Waipnknrau yards to-day, commencing' at 1 p.m.
