PENNANT MATCHES. NEWTOAVX AVINS THE PENNANT. At the AVeliingtou green on Saturday the Thorndon and Newtown Bowling; Clubs met, and as both clubs wore unbeaten this season, a close anticipated. So it proved to be. Newtown won by only one point, aud.'lia.ving beaten all the clubs, wins the pennant for the season 1901-2. The wins have been meritorious, the club beating Wellington Club by 22 points, Victoria by_22, Petone by 59, and Thorndon by I. Ike total points scored by the club are 38/, and against it 283.
