VETERAN SCOTCH SETTLER
Iu Mr Thomas Miller, of Bush Road, Mosgielj Otago, we have as iiue a specimen of a sturdy Scotch settler as it is possible to get. When interviewed by a local reporter, who asked for a short account of his lire, Mr Miller, with characteristic brevity, said: “I am sixty-five years of age and a native of Edinburgh. Believing that- there would be better opportunities in a new country like New, Zealand than could be obtained at home, I, many years ago, left my native land and came out to settle in Mosgiel. All went well until two years ago, when tne change of climate and the different mode of living began to affect me. My appetite deserted me, and after eating I was troubled with severe pains in tne stomach, and retching. As time went on, I grew distressingly thin and weak, and my life was made wretched. I consulted a doctor, but did not recover, despite his skill. At last I was induced to take Dr. Williams’ pink pills for pale people. After using the second box I felt relieved, and I found I could keep my food down better. As* I continued with tbem my appetite returned, and after, using five boxes I was so strong and well as to need no morei medicine. I will certainly recommend Dr. Williams’ pink pills as a cure for indigestion whenever opportunity offers.” . By their beneficial action on the bleed, Dr. Williams’ pink pills promote permanently a healthy action of the liver, and assist the absorbtion of nourishment. Tims they cure not only chronic indigestion, but ameinia, debility, scrofula, rheumatism, sciatica, palpitation hysteria, loss of manly strength, ladies ailments, etc. Sold by chemists and storekeepers, and by the Dr. Williams Medilings.iO ■ , cine Co., Wellington, three per box, six-boxes sixteen and six, post free.
