Mr Job E. Lindberg, the cheap draper, on the right side of .Cuba street, announces some very-cheap lines in drapery for tomorrow.
As will lie seen, by referring to Messrs If. Hannah and Co.'s advertisement over the leader this firm is opening a veal giveaway hoot sale on Saturday, 2ml March, al; its Cuba, street hoot market. Reductions ranging from 10 to 75 per cent, are worth going for. The goods will ho sold during this sale regardless (of profit. Messrs Macdonald, Wilson and Co. will sell to-day, commencing at II o’clock, at Hie family residence of Mr L. M. Harris, between Nos. 72 and 74, Wellington terrace, the whole of his superior household furniture, piano, e.p. ware. etc. Catalogues can be had on application. The order of sale is published in the nrlvfHi.sement, where all details w,ill be found. A notice to consignees of goods 1, 1 ,- flic Star of New Zealand appears in this issue.
Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co. have for sale a (laxmill and plant complete, in-first-class working order, and commanding an unlimited supply of flax. Messrs Sidey and Co. will to-day at 2.30 p.m. sell the delightfully-situated residence No. 4, Kenwyn terrace, eonhiiuiug five rooms, bathroom, scullery, etc. The land has a frontage of 40ft and a denih of moff.
To-day Messrs .Hareourt and Co. will sell by auction at their rooms. Liimhlon quay, a large collection of French literature by the best authors, including Balzac, Rousseau and Paul de Kock; also the works of Dfindet, Dumas, Zola and others. They will also sell several English works (including complete editions of Thackeray ami Lord Lytton). It is not often that such a number 'of French works are offered to the public, and they are worthy of inspection. Catalogues can lie obtained on application. The firm will also sell a number of pot plants.
