j Forty-seven teams competed in the coupling practice for two men. hut the 'min had made'the, ground and appliances very slippery. In the ladder rescue event, Fireman W. Ro.ss, of South Dunedin, slipped when, about Idll from die ground, hurt, escaped; with a .-.ovore shaking. The Burnham Industrial School hoys gave ait excellent display of manual engine work. The manual engine competition brought out ivcutythroe entries, and was an interesting event. Results;
