FIRE AT BERHAMPORE.
DWELLINGHOUSE DESTROYED. The Fire Brigade received-an alarm at a quarter to two o’clock this morning, a fire, having broken out in due of three houses situated close'together in Palm grove, Berhampore.. The fire originated' in a six-roomed house belonging to Mr B. Tasker, which, with its contents, was quite destroyed. The adjoining houife, occupied" by Mr W. Standen, also caught fire, and was badly damaged, and the bouse on ,tho other side, occupied by Mr Edmonds, was much scorched. Mr Tasker and his family were , away at the time. The cause of the fire is. unknown.
