A schoolboy, while playing in the Clyde qu,ay Reserve yesterday afternoon found, beneath a tree, the dead body of an infant girl a day or two old. No clue has yet been obtained as to the circumstances attending the disposal of the body in the manner described. v Alfred Rayner, a labourer,, residing at Trent ham, cut his throat with a razor on Monday night, inflicting a severe wound. He was removed to Wellington Hospital, where he is now favourably progressing. The girl Maud McDonald, who received a fracture of the skull in the trail accident on Lambtcn quay, reported in yesterday’s issue, is progressing favourably. She recovered consciousness early yesterday morning. We are .requested to mention that Mr F. J. McDonald, the driver of the trap, was the only adult in it; also that Mr H. E.
