SWIMMING.

STAR BOATING CLUB’S SPORTS. The swimming sports of the Star Boating Chib were held at'the club's bout shod on Saturday afternoon, in excellent weather. The attendance ot the public was fairly large, and the handicapping was responsible for several close finishes. The secretary (Mr H. W. Cooper) and starter (Mr N. Galbraith) succeeded in getting tiie events off with punctuality. Following are the results : Maiden Race, 50yd s. — TP. Johnson, 1; N. James, 2. 100yds Championship.—G. Hutchison, 1; W.
