THE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT. PBEBB ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, January 18. • The senior finals in the bowling tournament Were played to-day. The weather was excellent. . In the Rink Tournament the Victoria team (Wellington), consisting of Hewitt, Sneddon, Rodstoue, Brackenridge (skip), and ivaituna, consisting of Crawford, . F. ~ Smith, Payne, T. Snaddon (skip), had -to play off to see who met Christchurch (Wood, skip). The n atch was played on Wednesday evening up to the nineatoenth head, and resumed to-day . At the 31st bead the score was all. * Brackenridge then got two l in, and won by 3d to 21. / lit the. Champion Singles Maddison (12) defeated Binnie (10). The score was IC' l all at the last head, and Maddison got two in the last extra head. The final for the Rink Tournament, Christchurch (Barnett, Gibb, Bishop, Wood, skip), 20; beat Victoria, Wellington (Hewitt, Snaddon, Redstone, Brackenridige, skip), 12. The local rink ledl from the start, - and were never headed.
In the final for the Champion Doubles, McLaren and Morris 20, beat Maddison and Wanklyn, 18, and won. In the Singles, Binnie, 20, beat Underwood 1 , 13, and won third prize.
