PERSONAL.
Bishop Wallis will leave Wellington for the South Island, where he will spend the next three or four weeks. Sir James Hector, chancellor, and Mr B. Hector, assistant registrar, of the University of New Zealand, have left for Dunedin, to attend the meeting of the recess committee of the Senate, for the purpose of compiling tho matriculation and junior scholarship results. Tho Premier has received an invitation from the Wyndham Liberal League to deliver an address there, and he has consented to do so as soon as his engagements will permit of his going South. It is probable that the Premier will deliver the address after his visit to Invercargill to attend the banquet to the Hon J. G. Ward.
