LABOUR IN LONDON.
SUNDAY DEMONSTRATION. - LONDON. Monday. A great labour, demonstration was held in Hyde ark yesterday. Resolutions were passed demanding tho provision of cheaper houses for working men, and tho establishing of a Court for tho fixing of rents.
Another resolution which was passed dealt with the old age pension question, and insisted that tt-m allowance to the aged should be fixed at six shillings per week. The amount recently pronosed by the Select Committee of the House of Commons, viz., a. minimum of five .shillings per week, was considered to bo ridiculousi- small.
