HIS TOUR IN THE SOUDAN. THE GRATITUDE OF THE TRIBESMEN. RAVAGES OF DERVISHES. CAIRO, Thursday. Lord Kitchener, Sirdar of the Egyptian Army, who when last heard of was. on his way to Suakin, on the Rod Sea coast, has just arrived at Berber, on the Nile, after a camel ride of 800 miles. Everywhere along his route the tribes men expressed gratitude at their deliverance from the Khalifa, and Lord Kitchener reports that they are steadily repairing the ravages of the Dervishes.
