RIFLE SHOOTING. Classes B and C of the Post and Telegraph Rifles fired their fourth competition for trophies yesterday morning, the conditions being five shots at 500yds and 600yds. Private Ballanoe, of class B, put ou the “ possible ” at the 500yds, which is the first “possible” made this season by any member of the corps. The competition prizes were won by Privates Ballanoe, F. Palmer and Roache, of class B, and Corporal Avery, Privates Jenkins and Leahy for class C. The leading aggregate scores for the two classes are : Class B—Privates Roache, 121; F. Palmer, 99 ; Ballauce, 91; Fitzsimons, 93 ; Norgrove, 71. . Class C —Privates Leahy, 116 ; Mouutstephen, HI; Stewart, 107; Corporal Avery, 102 ; Private Jenkins, 58. The Kelburno Rifles paraded last night. The company was drilled in manual, .firing and other • exercises. It is expected-that the corps will commence .the year with the maximum strength.
