WEDDINGS.

DAVIES—ORR. A .wedding, which attracted a great deal of interest, was celebrated yesterday at St. Andrew’s Church. The bride was Miss Margaret Orr, daughter of Mr John Forbes Orr, of the City Buffet, and the bridegroom Mr William Crockett Dalles, of Melbourne. The bride was given away by her father. The ceremony was performed by the Rev G. S. Ogg. -The ..bride was attired in a pretty white duchess satin dress trimmed with white'chiffon, duchess lace and delicate sprays of orange blossoms. Miss Janet Orr, to whom the bridegroom presented a handsome band ring, Miss Chrissie Orr (sisters of the bride), and Miss Eveline Lodder (niece) —the two latter being recipients of gold chains with initialled hearts—were the bridesmaids. Mr James Orr was the best man, while Messrs A. Orr and Gerald O’Rorke discharged the duties of groomsmen. After signing the register, the company adjourned to the residence of the bride’s brother-in-law, Mr Arthur Lodder, in Willis street, where afternoon tea had been prepared. The presents were both numerous and valuable. The bridal couple left for Palmerston, amid the customary salvo of rice and old shoes. Mr and Mrs Orr entertained a party in the evening.

Mr Hector Smith, of Olrig Station, Hawke's Fay. was married to Miss Gertrude Nelson, youngest daughter of Mr William N elson, of Tomoana, at Hastings, on Monday Afternoon.
