RAM AND EWE FAIR.

SALE AT PETONE. FAIR PRICES FOR FLOCK RAMS. The Revfii.th annual Wellington Ram and Ewo Fair was hoi l l on the Show Ground, Petone, yesterday by Mr Geo. H. Scales and the New Zealand Bonn and Mercantile Agency .Company.. Limited. This was the first ram fair ot the season. The catalogue showed 218 Romney Marsh rams and throe - ewes. 98 Lincoln rams, 43 Border Loicestors, 15 Leicester's and, five English Lcicesters. There were’only one or two empty pens Thq 'shHepj'wore ' nearly all'in excellent condition. - ' A goodly ’ number of local buyers attended, but bideing was not brisk. Stnd rams wpro in very poor demand. Flock rams, however, brought fair prices; and moat of those passed in changed hands before they loft the ground. ■Mr T, id. Hanna was the auctioneer for the company, and Mr A. Walker (of Mowlom and Co., Maaterton), conducted the auction for Mr Scales.
