Mr D. Pinkefrton, M.L.C., is on d, visit to Wellington. Mr 0. Etudaou. Mr Tattle (overseer of the jobbing-room, Government Printing Office) was on Saturday presented with a handsome travelling bag, on the eve of his departure for England. Mr Mackey, the Government Printer, was spokesman. A very pleasing function took place in the operating-room of the Telegraph Department yesterday, when theofficer-in-obarge (Mr C. 0. Kbbertsonl presented a prominent member of the staff (Mr S. C. Allen) with a handsome marble clock, suitably inscribed, a* a memento of his marriage on Wednesday last.

Mr J. Garland Woon, of Wanganui, wellknown in musical circles here, is just now on a visit to Wellington, and is staying at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr Woon, it may be interesting to our musical readers to know, is

Coltman, who has been on the staff of the National Mutual Life Association, Wellington, for th© last 14 years, is about to be transferred to Dunedin. He leaves by the Waikare next Thursday to take up the position of district manager for Otago and Southland. Mr Coltman has always taken a keen interest in athletic matters, »nd is at the present time a life member of the Rival Cricket Club. His loss will be keenly felt both in athletic and social circles.

A very-quiet wedding was celebrated at Khandall&h yesterday afternoon, the parties to the union being Miss Priscilla May Harding and Mr Duncan Alexander McKenzie, youngest s>/n of the Minister for Lands. A special train, provided by the Hon J. McKenzie, conveying the Eight Hon the Premier and Mrs Seudon, the Hons J. McKenzie, W. Hall Jones, T Thompson. W C. Walker, •T. Carroll, J. Macdonald, and many others, leit the Government railway station at 10 30 a m Upon reaching Khandallah the visitors were escorted to the residence of Mr M. P. Cameron, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, by Mr J. piper to the Hon John McKenzie. The ceremony was performed by the Eight Rev Father Devoy, Vicar - General, and the bride, who was dressed in a neat travelling costume, was given a wav by her brother, Mr Harding, Mr Oeo.
