Dr and Mra Bernau, of Napier, have left on an extended visit to the Old Country.

Madama Amy Sherwin and her concert company left for the South on Saturday night by the Penguin, The Hon E. W. Farker (of Christchurch) and the Hon J- G. Ward, M.H 11., arrived from the bouth yesterday by the Rotomahana.

Mr E. Duncan, Chief Inspector of Machinery, joins the Takapuna at New Plymouth to-morrow, and proceeds on .o Onahunga ani Auckland. Mr W. Sellar, who has been secretary ot the Masterton Hospital since 183 f, has resigned the position owing to bis engagement with Messrs Levin and Co.
