SANFORD UNLIKELY TO RECOVER. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, May IS. Edward Trevor, charged with assaulting Philip Sanford, has been remanded till Friday to see if bail will be accepted. It is understood that Sanford is not likely to recover. The doctors performed an operation at the hospital to remove portion of the man’s skull. Trevor is a pel former at Fitzgerald’s circus. Later. Thera is no change in Sanford’s condition. He still remains unconscious. He is the son of Mr C. Sanford, fishmonger.
