Tho Premier (Mr Reid), referring to the wheat yield, takes is as an indication that the land tax is* giving a stimulus to cultivation. Ho expects a much larger increase next year. The tax is also having a marked effect in compelling city people to put their property to uso, as is shown by tho largo increase in building operations.
