At tbo Bankruptcy Court this morning an application was .made for a writ of attachment of the bankrupt John Scott Myers,who refused to givo up possession of certain property sold under order of tho Court. 'I ho Official Assignee said ho b?d received the key at 10 o’clock this morning. Mr JusUoo Donniston, after referring to the facts of the case, said tho bankrupt had insulted the Court by refusing to obey tho law. Ho (ms Honor) must show tho bankrupt and others like him that they could not defy tho law of tho country with impunity. Bankrupt would bo adjudged guilty of contempt, and sentenced to seven days* imprisonment therefor, and also ordered to. pay five guineas costa.
