A meeting of the Public Works Committee of the City Council was hold last night. Present—Councillors Fraser (inthochair), Anderson, Liugard, Willestou,. Tho letter wa© directed to be forwarded to tho Charitable Aid Board, and the Council was recommended to express its sympathy with the suggestion.
