CASH CYCLING CLUB’S SPORTS.

The Wellington Cash Amateur Cycling Club’s Sports on Saturday afternoon and evening were a great success. It was the first animal meeting of the club, and the members have every reason to feel gratified at the result of the gathering. Iu the afternoon, only heats were got off, but in. tho evening there was some fine racing. The Garrison Band was in attendance, and performed a fine programme of selections. The track was in good order, but no wore broken. There wore a few mishaps during the afternoon, but beyond tho smashing of machines they word not sbridus. The offiblala worked hard ; there were no waits, and the racing was above the usual standard. Mr Wakonian, the secretary, deserves a word of praise for tho mallner in which he worked to bring about a successful isaito. Tho following is a summary of the results; — Onb-mile Roadster Handicap. After rounding tho “ city ” corner Rowo and Henderson raced together, and tho former came down a very bad cropper, his machine being smashed. Tho accident is believed to bo duo to tho pair touching each others pedals, but how Henderson managed, to escape a fall is marvellous. Tho race was won comfortably by, a wheel and a half.
