But I venture to say if occasions arose for Mr Ward to have to do so ho would brake the record. Shifty folks dose not liko to be told the truth,' as your able liddor on 3 per cent, sets everything that may bo said to the contrary at defiance, as facts are chiels that winna ding. Dear Mr Editor was you ever nearly drooned, because I think the Post was: when our 3 per cent, was floated. It is astonishing how some folks gets roon, but perhaps it was born to be hung andnae drooned. Weol, it was na a bad partin shot that of his. I like folk wi spunk in them, even if they come off second best. But it is a big blaw for them, them langleged mortices (mortgages), •i.e., you must excuse my gramatical fraze, for I hid na muole schoolar. I would advise the Evening Post for tho future to let Mr Ward and his colleagua alone, and mak tho best of a bad job, and turn his attention to something more profitable to himself and freens.
