GREAT BRITAIN AND CHITRAL.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright. London, August 3. Tho Government is abandoning the Chitral country west of Panjakakova. Eleven thousand troops will hold the route from Peshawur through to Dir, pending tho final settlement. Special.—Received August 5, 8 p.m. London; August 5.
Tho Simla correspondent of the Times telegraphs that the Benoah district of Chitral will remain under tribal rule, and that the Khan of Dir will adminster tho Baiaill Valley.
