The following cablegram, giving the latest London market quotations was received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company to-day Frozen meats— Hutton market is weak ami iamb quiet. Canterbury mutton, 3i|d per lb ; ‘Wellington mutton, 3fd per lb; lamb, prime Now Zealand, per carcase, 4Jd. Sheepskins—'There if. a good demand. Merino have advanced id per lb ; crossbred, £d. Hemp—Now Zealand hemp market depressed; medium, nominal value, £l2 10s per ton. Levin and Co. have received advices from their London agents ns follows:—Wool market strong and healthy. As compared v/ith closing rates of last sales, wo expect that substantially higher prices? will rule. ’ s --d frisk and active demand for sheepskins (in general). Taine and Co. report of their Saturday’s horse sale :—Wo had only a moderate entry and a moderate attendance, and nothing very good in tho yard with the exception of two good hacks by Marvel and Torpedo, which wore passed in unsold at .£l7 and £l6.
