OBITUARY.
Mr Henry Ellison, well-known in Napier, died on Tuesday evening from pneumonia. Deceased, who was only 44 years of ago, was originally a civil engineer and surveyor, but his health failing he betook himself to journalism, and became proprietor and editor of the Wairoa Guardian. He leaves a wife (sister of Dean Hovell) and three children. One of the oldest and most-osteemod Waitotara settlors, Mrs Wilkie, sonr., died on Monday night. Her sons, Messrs Wilkie Bros., are the well-known railway contractors, two of whom are at present in West Australia, where they have just taken a largo railway contract between Southern Cross and Coolgardi*. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, June 20. Mr George Cruickshank, of To Awarnutu, brother of the late Mr D. B. Cruickshank, has died suddenly of heart disease.
