Tho second Championship. Mooting under tho auspices of this Society is to bo hold at tho Skating Eink on the 18th, 10th and 20tb of next month, and tho exhibition promises to bo tho most extensive and successful yet held in Wellington. There will bo some 389differont classes of exhibits, and in addition to over iOSOO in prize-money some forty gold medals will also bo offered for competition. In order that ail exhibitors may bo satisfied as to the judging, two independent and competent gentlemen in Australia have boon engaged to undertake this responsible duty. An extensive art union is also to bo held, and the prizes will be valuable as, well as useful. Competitors should note that entries for the “Tolhnrst prize ” lor the best kept fowlyard close on. the Bth July next, and tho general entries tor tho show will close also on that date. In order that there may bo no difficulty for. the public in obtaining tickets, tho committee have authorised Mr E. J. Barnett to make a housis-to house call to dispose of tickets, and in addition to tho chanco of winning a prize in the art union all tickets give the holder tho right of entry to tho show.
