PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.
The Primitive Methodist Conference dealt yesterday morning with various reports. The report on the book-room showed a balance in favour of the book-room of .£2OO. The furnishing fund - report showed an income of .£9l, with a balance in hand of i’ll. From the report of the superannuated ministers’, widows’ and brphansfund, it was seen that the fund has a balance in band of .£863. The Primitive Methodist magazine fund showed an Broome of j£2sß, leaving a balance of X 47 on tho working of : tho year. The children’s equalisation fund showed a credit balance of .£lB Ss 7d on tho year’s transactions. Tho balance to the credit of the fund was £214 18s 4d. The fire insurance report showed that 63 separate risks had been taken, to the extent of A 10,200. The assets were very satisfactory. It was decided that the next Conference should be held at Timaru.
In the evening a missionary meeting was held in the Webb street Church. '
