THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. — Copyright, Received August 0,1a.m. Sydney, August 5. The Premier lias published an address to the electors in which he states that the Cabinet places the questions of local government, reformed land laws, simple Customs tariff, and a satisfactory system of direct taxation in tho first rank of their programme. The Cabinet also will restore the subject of Federation to a position of importance, and wiil encourage free commercial intercourse with other colonies.
