ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, April 12. Tbe brigantine Zeno has arrived from Newcastle after a very stormy voyage. She lost aeveral sails, and a Beaman had a miraculous escape from drowning. One sea carried him overboard, but the following wave washed him back again. Tbe captain ond owner of the scow May, a half-caste named Thomas Campbell, while on a voyage from Mercury Bay to Auckland with kauri lags, got jambed between two logs, and crnabed. He subsequently died from tbe injuries. Deceased was a married man, bis wife residing hero. Christchurch, April 12.
Mrs Mary Ann Jaokson, agsd 34, wife of a farmer at Riccartoo, dropped dead sod* deniy this afternoon. Her death is supposed to have beau caused by heart disease. Oamaru, April 12.
A farmer named Patrick Burke, residing at Redoiiffa, was killed to day by his dray tunning over him. His horses bolted, and be was knocked down by the abaft. Tbe wheel of the dray passed over hU head, killing him instantly.
