TO-DAY’S RACKS, The Wellington Autumn Meeting will be commenced at the Hutt to-day and contimaed to-morrow. lor the convenience of visitors special trains will leave the Wellington station at 10.30 a rn., 11.18 a.m., 12.3 p.m., 1.10 p.ra. and 2.28 pm., each train leaving the Te Aro station a few minutes earlier. The first race will stars on each day at 12 o'clock. A special attraction will bo nm-ic performed on the lawn by the well-known Truda Brothers, who have been specially engaged for the twj days. hVigilunt' reports that he has no reason to alter his notes of yesterday. Most of the horses were out early yesterday morning, and some rousing gallops were registered, the Thompson Handicap candidates all going in first-cEM style, and the two year-olds, especially Noyade and Westrnere, looking very fit. He still thinks that if anything beats The Workman in the piincipal race, it will be Kulnine, although Melinite is greatly fancied, and is likely to start first favourite.
