By the collapse of a bridge at Norwood six carriages of tho Brighton train were wrecked, and many persona were injured, Wilson Barrett, the well known actor, is planning a tour through Australia. An Atlantic liner is believed to be ashore at Kinsale. Professor Tyndall has had a relapse. Washington, May 1. Owing to the objection of the Chinese Government to receive Mr Blair as United States Minister at Pekin, he has been recalled. Paris, May 1. In the Chamber of Deputies a motion has been tabled for the reduction of the duty on wheat from Ss 9d to 4s Gd per quarter, and a similar reduction on flour. The rumour that one of the Atlantic liners was ashore at Kinsale is unfounded. Twelve passengers in the Brighton train were injured by the collapse of a bridge at Norwood.

New Zealand hindquarters are worth 4ld per lb. Other quotations are unchanged since last telegram. New Zealand hemp— For medium, quotations aro unchanged. Common qualities are neglected. Tallow is in good demand. Fine mutton is worth L2B, and good beef L 26 10s per ton respectively.
