STEAM SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS.

The Hon G. McLean states that ho proceeds to Australia to endeavour to put the San Francisco Service on as satisfactory a footing as possible, and to popularise tho route among intending passengers to America.
The amalgamation of the Union and Tasmanian S.S. Companies is complete, and needs only tho sanction of the shareholders.
