BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.
Auckland, March 24.
A special meeting of the Bank New Zealand to day confirmed the resolution of the 13th February, amending the deed of settlement as required by the decision to remove the head office to London. The business was purely formal, and there was no discussion. The President referred to the death of William James Taylor, a director, and stated the vacancy thereby caused on the directorate would not be filled, as it was only a question of days when the Board would pass out of existence altogether. The President also stated that Major Goorge was on his way to London to confer with the Board there with reference to the transfer of the control from the Colony.
