Sib, —What canbethereas.ouof thegreafc delay in commencing the above school ? ■Some time ago I read in your valuable paper that the money was granted for ' •building, and that a large piece of ground was leased for the erection of this very much-needed school ; yet month after month passes by without anything being done. ' I don’t know of anything so much required in Wellington as additional . school accommodation. At the Willisstreet School there are as many as 60 children in a class, with one female, teacher. The consequence is the children learn nothing, and it’s only a waste of their time and their parents’ hard-earned money thrown away on books. I can’t, help thinking that tenders for the erection of thetfa schools should have been ; out long since.—l am, &0., A Parent.,
