In the action brought by Eocke, Tompsitt and Co, against the proprietors of the Argus for libel in reference to the importation of goods by the plaintiffs, the Court has awarded the latter £250 damages. Brisbane, August 20. Replying to a deputation which -waited upon him yesterday, the Premier strongly favored a Reciprocity 'Treaty between Queensland and Victoria. Sydney, August 20. The steamer Tsinan, which arrived yesterday from Hongkong, has been placed in quarantine in consequence of a modified case of smallpox on board, the patient being a Chinese boy. New Zealand wheat is at 3s 3d to 3s 6d, and New Zealand oats at 2s to 2s 3d; maize, 3s 9d : potatoes, 35s to 45b. Adelaide, August 20. Wheat is neglected at 3s lOd. Town flour is quoted at £9 5s to £9 10s, and country brands,at £8 5s to £8 10s.
