SIR GEORGE GREY'S GIFT TO AUCKLAND.
Auckland, November 12.
Thg City Council last night authorised the Mayor to send some person to Kawan to consult with Sir George Grey as to the re. rnoval of his library to the new building hero. Beside the boohs, Sir George Grey has resolved to give to the city his collection of South Sea Island cariosities, which will be placed in the entrance hall of the Free Library. It is expected that all wiil'be in their: places before the library is opened.
