AUCKLAND TRAINING NOTES. Auckland, December 19

Turquoise and Wood Nymph were sent through Cup distance in company, being picked up iu the Hat mile by Youth. The gallop was tbo best yet seen on tba course, aud the way Wood Nymph stuck to Turquoise throughout surprised those present. She was very little distressed when she pulled up, Welcome Jack went twice round alono on the plough at a strong pace, the last three quarters of a mile being got over in Imin 20scc. Nemesis was treated to a fust mile, and tbo jumping horso Linwood did long alow work. Son'-wester am! Ugly Buck (in company) were sent occo round at top speed, both going freely and well J but the first-named could evidently have left his companion nt any part of the journey. Clarence and Barbary did serviceable work together. The last named showed no signs of lameness, but moved a trifle short. After cantering once round, Administrator (with George Williams up) broke away (or a fast spin, covering the last three-quarters of amile in Imin IDaeo. This horse is in real good nick, and got over the ground in a taking manner. The Poet (with Sutherland in the saddle) went twice round at a fair pace, and Minerva did a fast mile aud a quarter. Macaroni was sent three times round, going very strongly. Libeller and Totford did walking exercise. Necklace did nut put in an appearance.

Tho meeting held to day was a very pleasant one, and was well attended. The Open Hurdles was won by the Hon. R. Rodney’s Barrington (lata Mustard). Tho Amberley Cup of 60 sovs, 1J miles, was wen by Mr Lunn’a Rebecca, Gaiters 2, Farewell 3. Mata’s half-brother, Matakau, appropriated tho Maiden Plate, and tho Northern Handicap was won easily by Spec.
